We’re going to try it again.
After two days of rain, play is scheduled to resume Friday at the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship with 17 matches on the schedule.
The schedule includes the final first round singles match in which Max Purcell holds a 4-3 lead
on serve over Daniel Altmaier.
All eight singles second round matches will also be on the schedule, two of which are in
progress. Gijs Brouwer, who won the first set, will be serving to force a second tie-break against
John Isner while Denis Kudla and JJ Wolf will resume at 4-all in the opening set.
The winners of those second round matches will double up to come back and play their
quarterfinal matches later Friday.
All four doubles quarterfinals are also set to be played on Friday.
Main draw action is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday. Matches will be available to watch on the ESPN App.
