For the fourth time in as many years at least one American team will compete for the US Men's Clay Court Championship doubles title when US players James Blake and Sam Querrey will take on the team of Treat Conrad Huey from the Philippines and Dominc Inglot from Great Britain.
Blake and Querrey are no strangers to the doubles final at this event. In 2004, Blake teamed with Mardy Fish to claim the title. Querrey reached last year's final with John Isner.
The American duo was 0-4 as a team before reaching the final this week. Their previous tournaments include the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Huey and Inglot are playing in their first ATP World Tour event as a team. They have played 11 Challengers together, and are 3-1 in finals at those events.
Huey has come the longest way to play at River Oaks. Last weekend he played the doubles rubber as the Philippines picked up a 5-0 win over Pakistan in a Davis Cup Zonal tie in Manila.
